HASB is one of the well-known companies which provide SPM Maintenance work. Single Point Mooring (SPM) maintenance is one of the most exciting job in oil and gas industry. In general terms, it consists of an integrated mooring and fluid transfer system to which a tanker moored by its bow (mooring hawser). The sole duty of the structure is to enable vessels carrying product to transfer its cargo to onshore refinery/storage. The fluid is transferred through the marine hose and the SPM mooring swivel allows the tanker to swing freely in response on the changes of the environment. Commonly, SPM shall be situated ranging from 2km to 5km ashore and the SPM area should have a sufficient water depth in the approach route and maneuvering area to accept the tanker (class of tankers). The SPM’s structure consists of 4 main parts which are floating hose, buoy, subsea/submarine hose and seabed pipeline or Pipeline End Manifold (PLEM). There are two common types of SPM which are SALM (Single Anchor Leg Mooring) and CALM (Catenary Anchor Leg Mooring). Under each types of SPM, it can be categorized as below:
