In current globalization, corrosion is the main challenge faced by oil and gas industry. There are a lot of methods already being introduced to reduce the corrosion rate to protect metal and maintain its structural integrity. One of the methods being practiced is Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) where it requires a rectifier (current flow requirement) to minimize corrosion by corroding the sacrificial metal.
